At TAIFWE, we are proud of the impact we have made in the fight against domestic violence. Our programs and initiatives have helped to raise awareness and provide vital resources to support survivors and domestic violence organizations. We believe that by partnering with the art community along with various fundraising efforts, we can create a powerful force for positive change.
We are grateful for the support and recognition we have received from domestic violence organizations and shelters. Their dedication to providing essential resources and support to survivors inspires us every day. We are committed to continuing our collaboration and partnership with these organizations to make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors.
Here are some of the appreciation statements we have received from domestic violence organizations and shelters we have been grateful to assist:
Dear, Thornton Art Initiative for Women Empowerment
We thank you so much for your donation of coats and infant clothing for the young mothers and their babies of Siena House Shelter. We would like to send a special thanks to you, the Pastor, First Lady, the leaders of Nazareth Baptist Church ministry and Ms. Patricia Jackson for all your support this holiday season. We had a few young ladies who had no coats to wear but thanks to your donation they will be warm in the lovely coats they received on November 18, 2021. God bless you and all you do.

Program Coordinator
Dear Thornton Art Initiative for Women Empowerment,
Thank you for your generous donation of Venture (Pour technique with resin finish by Ingrid E.
Thornton, $250 value) for Kathy’s Legacy 2nd Annual Golf Tournament & Banquet on October 2,
2021.
Because of donations like yours, we are able to revive hope in the lives of children orphaned by
domestic violence homicide - one child, one family at a time.
We appreciate your being a part of Kathy’s Legacy. Together we will make a positive difference in
the lives of these silent, under-served victims of domestic violence homicide.
Sincerely,
Ginny Scharbarth
